CARRIER BAG LEGISLATION

As part of the Travis Perkins Group, CCF is fully committed to protecting the environment and is continually looking for new ways to improve the environmental performance of its trading activities.

Information about Carrier Bag Charge

The Government has introduced a new law requiring all large shops to charge 5p for all single use plastic bags from 5th October 2015. The aim is to reduce the use of plastic bags and the litter associated with them and to encourage people to reuse bags.

The single-use carrier bag charge will be increased from 5p to 10p and extended to all businesses in England from 21 May 2021 to help drive down sales further. As a business, we have made the decision to charge 10p per single use carrier bag in all the devolved nations in the UK.
