The Knauf High Performance range includes solutions for installations requiring enhanced fire, moisture, vapour, sound, impact and X-ray resistance.

Knauf Safeboard:

Knauf Safeboard is an X-ray resistant plasterboard with barium sulphate in its core. Installed using the same methods as traditional plasterboard, Knauf Safeboard effectively removes or significantly reduces the amount of lead needed within X-ray shielding partitions whilst simplifying construction and supply chains. Contains no hazardous materials.

Using Safeboard means less lead waste, reducing issues removing waste from site. Safeboard can be recycled with other gypsum products

Boards are lighter than the equivalent lead-lined plasterboards making them easier to move around site and reduces H&S risks

Can provide up to 60 minutes of fire protection as part of full Knauf system. Knauf Full System Performance Warranty gives peace of mind for installer and client.

Knauf Performance Plus:

Performance Plus, Knauf’s highest specification plasterboard, has a high-density core with added performance-enhancing ingredients. The result is a grey faced board with extremely high levels of sound, moisture, fire and impact resistance, ideally suited to schools, hospitals and other large commercial projects. Knauf Performance Plus is suitable for Knauf Performer ‘C’ Stud, ‘I’ Stud and Shaftwall.

Use with Knauf Performance Plus Screws and apply Knauf Betokontakt before applying gypsum finish(not required for Airless finish).

As part of a Full Knauf system Performance Plus gives:

Up to 120 minutes of fire protections as part of a full Knauf Performer Partition

Up to 54dB (Rw) sound reduction as part of a full Knauf Performer Partition

Built in moisture resistance removing the need for secondary components, reducing the complexity of the build

As the board is multifunctional, one board can be used to give numerous performance characteristics – Simplifying the build process
