The team at CCF Basildon has supplied the full partitioning and ceiling package for the new Rainham Leisure Centre in Havering, East London.

The new facility for leading leisure centre and gym operator Everyone Active is set to officially open in Summer 2023 and will provide a wide range of features including a spinning and dance studio, a large fitness suite and a state-of-the-art six lane swimming pool. The new leisure centre has been designed by Box Architects and built by Piperhill Construction using a modern modular design structure.

CCF has worked closely with specialist contractor IF City Ltd to supply a comprehensive package of interior building products from some of the UK’s leading manufacturers. This included British Gypsum lightweight partition and wall lining systems. The suspended grid ceilings in the swimming pool and changing room areas were created using Zentia Hydroboard Tiles on a non-corrosive Zentia suspension system, with Zentia OP 1.00 Tegular Edge Tiles on a Zentia Prelude suspension grid and Zentia Dune eVo tiles on a Zentia Prelude suspension system used within the other areas of the leisure centre. To aid sound absorption, Rockfon Colour-All acoustic ceiling tiles in charcoal on a Rockfon Chicago Metallic Grid were also used in the Spinning Studio.

The package of ceiling tiles was specifically chosen to meet the needs of a busy leisure centre, combining thermal and acoustic performance with aesthetic appeal.  The CCF team at Basildon was on hand throughout to provide IF City Ltd with support and updates on the order, which was delivered in line with the contractor’s individual requirements.
