Meet the team - Simon Williams
We are getting to know CCF’s new senior leadership team a little better. Here we talk to new Central Regional Director Simon Williams.
What’s your role at CCF?
My current role is Central Regional Director which means I oversee our extensive customer base and branch network across Birmingham One (2 two branches, East and West), Northampton, Colchester, Norwich, Nottingham and Peterborough. Alongside my fellow regional directors and CCF’s National Sales Director and Finance Director, I sit on the company’s senior leadership team.
How long have you been with CCF?
I have been with the business for some 18 years, joining in June 2007 from the merchant sector. Throughout this time, I have been fortunate to learn essential skills and gain a real understanding of the business by working across different departments including external sales, branch management, regional account management and regional ceilings sales. Most recently I was the general manager for the region and now, following a reorganisation of our regional structure I am pleased to take on the new role of Central Regional Director.

What do you think is the most important part of your job?
My role is a varied one but a key goal for me is to build on the strength and talent that is already in place across the Central region and really push forward to identify more opportunities for us to grow our market share. Supporting teamwork and collaboration, across both colleagues and suppliers, is a key focus for me as at the end of the day, we are all working towards the same goal – to give our customers the very best products and service to help make every individual job a real success.
Fun & Personal Insights
1. Do you have any new year’s resolutions?
To exercise more. I made the top 2% of Strava users last year and this year I want to get into the 1% club.
2. What’s a hobby or passion you have outside of work, and how did you get into it?
Motorcycle racing. Although I don't race (I don't even own a license or a bike!) I really love the scene, I like the people and I love how competitive it is. I have worked with a race team competing at a national level for seven years now.
3. What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever received?
When it comes to developing and maintaining positive relationships with people, you get out what you put into them.
4. What is the one app/website you can’t live without and why?
TikTok, but I will add my algorithms are largely steering towards comedy and motorsport.
5. What’s the best holiday or trip you’ve ever been on?
In October 2025 I married my partner, Cheryl. We took our four children to Paris and spent two days in Disneyland Paris and some time sightseeing in the city. We had an amazing time and made some incredible memories.
6. How would your colleagues describe you in three words?
Committed, passionate and fun?
