Earlier this year, we proudly announced that Dale Cox from CCF Manchester had been shortlisted as a finalist at the Microlise Awards 2026.

On May 12, that recognition became an incredible achievement as Dale was officially awarded the prestigious Extra Mile Award.

With over nine years’ experience as an HGV driver, including six years with CCF, Dale has built a reputation for professionalism, reliability, and consistently delivering exceptional customer service across the North West and Yorkshire. Driving a Class 2 rigid vehicle, Dale supports multiple branches and manages demanding multi-drop deliveries of construction finishing materials safely and efficiently every day.

What makes this award especially meaningful is that it recognises the dedication and attitude that our drivers bring to the role beyond simply making deliveries. Dale was recognised for consistently going above and beyond, whether that’s starting early and staying late to support operational demands, helping warehouse teams across branches, proactively upskilling to support wider operations, or ensuring customers receive the very best service possible.

Customers regularly provide positive feedback on Dale’s patience, professionalism, and willingness to help on site, with some specifically requesting Dale for deliveries due to the relationships and trust he has built over time.

Alongside his operational excellence, Dale is also recognised for his commitment to health, safety, and supporting colleagues. His calm approach, leadership qualities, and willingness to help others embody the values that make CCF’s fleet operation such an important part of our business.
