Celebrating the record-breaking year, CCF invited team members from across the country to look back on the progress made over the last 12 months.

Opening the event with an overview of all the recent amazing achievements, Dean Pinner, Managing Director and Matt Worster, Finance Director listed the incredible milestones reached. From the best ever performance on safety to the best year on driver performance and compliance, it has been a successful year for the company. Internally, there was more great news with a number of schemes implemented to improve communication between staff.

These included the introduction of a colleague newsletter as well as interactive displays to ensure everyone is well connected and informed.

Maintaining enthusiasm and energy throughout the day, colleagues participated in informative and competitive break-out sessions where their knowledge was put to the test. In addition, they had the chance to create pledges to set a goal for that extra step they could personally take to help CCF continue to grow. This year also saw the return of the marketplace where a number of CCF suppliers showcased their products enabling colleagues to interact with and find out more. This helped to strengthen relationships, and improve knowledge of what’s new in the industry.

As the conference came to a close, a number of awards were handed out to individuals and regions who had gone above and beyond. With awards ranging from keeping people safe to the eagerly anticipated regional branches of the year announcements. The event concluded with the delivery of a business overview from Nick Roberts, CEO of Travis Perkins Plc, and Frank Elkins, COO of the Trade Merchant Division to outline the importance of staying ahead of the changes occurring in the construction industry.

Attendees came away from the event having a clearer idea of the business’ position in the market, the latest innovations suppliers have been working on and improved knowledge of the future direction of the business.
