When two branches merged in Leeds in early January, the transition was so smooth, some customers didn’t even notice. Six months on, everyone can see the difference: CCF Leeds provides better service and a wider product range than either of its predecessor branches could offer.
The branch merger was prompted by our acquisition of SLBM in 2007. It made sense to bring CCF Leeds and SLBM Waterside together in a new CCF super branch at Waterside Road.
“To be honest, we weren’t sure how SLBM customers would react to the change of name,” says branch manager, James Miller. “But we didn’t have to worry. Many have since told us that it’s not the name over the door that counts, but the quality of the service – and that’s far better than either branch could have provided on its own.”
He adds, “We’re offering more products too. The range includes renders, screeds, and flooring. We’ve been able to give customers more choice by increasing the speed with which stock moves through the site. We’ve added more racking inside and out, plus we’ve increased parking and turning space in the yard.”
The service has kept pace too. There’s more collective experience and expertise at CCF Leeds than either branch could muster. The combined delivery fleet numbers 14 trucks - enough vehicles and know-how to offer a same-day service from the CCF Leeds super branch.
