Investing in People

We recognise that the high standards and quality of the service we provide are dependent on the contribution, application and loyalty of our employees.

In 2006 The Travis Perkins Group launched employee rewards called 'Building Britain Awards' for loyalty, exceptional service and special achievements, where employees can nominate their colleagues.

The Group Management Trainee Scheme is one of the most successful of any UK business. Since it began in 1973, more than 51% of graduating trainees are still with the Group. Many are now directors.

We are committed to working towards equal opportunities for all, and recognise the benefits of diversity within our workforce. Employment decisions are always based on ability and potential, regardless of gender, colour, ethnic origin, sexual orientation, age or disability.

A culture of openness and honesty is embedded in CCF and within the Travis Perkins Group, and lies at the heart of all communications from, and to, employees. Colleagues from all areas of the business are regularly involved in key business initiatives to help make our company a great place to work and do business.
